This week, Dutch organizations in tourism and travel are gathering at the 50th edition of the ‘Vakantiebeurs’ – the largest Travel Fair of the Netherlands. Besides presenting their business at the Travel Fair to consumers, there are also multiple events organized focusing on B2B. On Tuesday, the second edition of the Travel Congress took place where multiple keynotes discussed the ‘Traveler of the Future’, highlighting digital, green and social aspects that are of the importance of the changing customer journey.READ MORE
Tourism Expo Destination Varna 2019 took place in Varna in the period 21-23 November 2019. It is a renowned event, attracting Bulgarian tourism professionals from all tourism subsectors. During the event, there were parallel conference sessions, where the industry representatives shared their experiences, views, and analyses about the trends in hospitality and tourism. Our key partner ATLAS – Association of Tourism and Leisure Education and Research organized the first INCOME Tourism / NTG webinar last September. There were 15 participants that joined the special track on Tourism Education, Employability and Industry with 5 presentations from 5 different perspectives/countries via the online webinar. The presentations focused on questions of how HEIs can foster employability of tourism students by addressing the right skills and on effective methods of teaching and training in close cooperation with the tourism industry and HEIs.READ MORE
