Webinar Alert: Tourism Education, Employability and Industry

On Friday 20th September, INCOME Tourism and the Next Tourism Generation Alliance organize a Webinar on the main theme ‘Tourism Education, Employability and Industry – University interaction’. This webinar will be hosted by the University of Girona at the ATLAS Annual Conference. This event is organized by NTG key partner ATLAS.

Topics of the webinar

The future of employability in the tourism industry will bring several obstacles and challenges whereas the world that we are currently living in is changing into an interconnected world that faces technical, cultural, economic and demographic developments. Higher Educational Institutes and the industry have to work together in order to prepare and educate students to be successful. A new paradigm and tourism education is needed for that.

This webinar focuses on effective methods of teaching and training in cooperation with the tourism industry and the employability of those tourism students by addressing the right set of skills. Those topics will be discussed to see how businesses and universities can cooperate and share benefits in education, research and knowledge transfer. Furthermore, the topic ‘teaching content and methods in tourism education’ will also be reflected as it needs to be improved according to the market’s needs and requirements.

Participation in the webinar

In case you would like to participate in the webinar, you can simply join by sending an e-mail to admin@atlas-euro.org including your name, affiliation and e-mail address latest Thursday 19th September. On Friday morning, you will receive an e-mail with the access code for the webinar.
