This includes data on tourism facts & figures, key characteristics, employment contributions, national tourism strategies, challenges, and developments. Additionally, it provides insights into the current state of digital, green, and social skills training provision for various education/training providers through literature review and analysis.

 

The reports from 2024 analyse survey results from tourism professionals, HR managers, and decision-makers to identify gaps in skills compared to future needs projected for 2030. Interviews with industry experts shed a light on contemporary trends and expected employability requirements.

 

Moreover, the countries within the consortium have selected best practices showcasing innovative approaches to upskilling, reskilling, and talent retention in the tourism sector, particularly focusing on digital, social, and green skill development. These examples serve to illustrate progressive strategies for skills enhancement in practical contexts.
